What’s going on you wonderful Stonx-listening lovelies! 2022 Retrospective time!

What’s going on you wonderful Stonx listenin lovelies!

We’re just getting out acts back together after Christmas, so I thought it would be a good chance to do a short post looking back over the last year. New year retrospectives are unavoidable. So let’s dig Into where we were, and where we are now.

Spotify:

At the start of 2022, we were sitting on about 60,000 streams on Spotify. We had around 800 monthly listeners on average and we had about 300 followers. Throughout 2022 we’ve been honing and refining our advertising process. We run our marketing to keep everything in-house as we grow our channels.

Coming into 2023 we are sitting pretty on 200,000 streams. We have over 2000 monthly listeners and our followers are shooting towards 1k. This hugely increases our reach when releasing on Spotify and decreases what we need to spend for each release. For 2023 we may turn our attention to Apple Music and other streaming platforms as the industry giants change.

Now on to socials and other channels, on with the retrospective:
We’ve 5x our average viewership on Twitch. Twitch has always been a bit of a labor of love for us. We stream for our discord members and community. This means growth has never really been a major priority over there. Well, with the reboot of STONXCAST, the growth has happened anyway! We’ve had over 100 new followers in the last 3 months and our chats are now absolutely live with lovely Neurofunk fans!

Mentioning Discord, that’s still going strong and full of a group of people we call our close friends now. Make sure you head over there for production tips, community, and more!

Speaking of STONXCAST. ‘The little podcast that could’ has gone from being something we did for fun occasionally, to a fully-fledged, 20,000-person-reaching weekly radio show. We can’t thank bestdrumandbass.com enough for partnering up with us, we’re glad they liked what they heard! You can catch STONXCAST every Friday on our Twitch and then over at the bestdrumandbass.com website.

To round it all off 2022 was the year we FINALLY went live. We played Lightbox in London on the 16th of December for Neuroheadz, and it went off!!! We got to play with some fantastic artists at an awesome venue so thank you to everyone who stuck around all the way until 6 AM to see us!

What a year! If we keep this up there isn’t any option but success. Excellent. Retrospective complete. Utter success. Full plans to smash it this year too!
